Everyone has the right to ask an organisation whether or not they are using or storing your personal information. You can also ask to see copies of this personal information, verbally or in writing.
This is called the right of access and is commonly known as making a subject access request or SAR.

Caution advised – the process takes time. Generally the entity has one month to respond, however in complex cases this can take up to three months. In complex cases, huge volumes of data are reviewed, sometimes some information is redacted, and then sent on to you. In some cases the content can be potentially triggering.
